High Hard Cervics 12 Dpo

body coating and coated body ...

Last Saturday was a celebration of music, the first day of summer and coatings!
Big weekend, although tiring, but super fun ...

So we started with the layer of base coat, followed by the base coat.
basecoats: clay + water
base coat: clay + sand + water + ground straw

Tools:
large garbage cans, a barrel, buckets, plastic sheeting, floats, a drill with a mixer, trimmer, shears and full of hands ...

The bins we used to:
- straw crushing
- soak the clay
- do mixtures (Base coat and base coat)

The barrel:
- supply of water (it takes a lot)

Buckets:
- transporting mixtures to the walls

Tarps:
- how the mixture earth / straw strands for the largest holes

The floats:
- to avoid falling too often ...

The drill with the mixer:
- I'll let you guess

Brushcutter
- to crush the straw

shears - to crush the straw when there is more line on the trimmer ...

Hands:
- For all the foregoing
- to launch the Strongly base coat and body coated straw
cons - to smooth the rough base coat

Viewpoint organization, Pierrot would have fallen on her buttocks, so it was good !
At a retail loan, oh yeah, we remain true to ourselves, clay. We
clay, BUT bulk very very hard and very very big ... So, initially, that is to say, all day Saturday, Lawrence, JB and Sylvain have crumbled in the sun, a real treat ... it took for ages but no one knew quite how to do otherwise!
Because of the clay that you put in water, it is not compliant, it does not dissolve (it's not sugar, whatever!) And the mixer does not come at the end of large blocks very hard! And as he was moving, it crumbled!

the evening, we have two bins in advance that we let soak overnight in water. A bin with clay crumbled and the other with blocks. The next day, the blocks were soft and much more mixable!
So we will lose more time to crumble ... this is not evil!

We also solved the problem of the round window by a frame wood. Our electrical conduit drowned in coatings, and we made our first barbecue on the terrace, in short, a weekend rather efficient and less frustrating than electricity!

Regarding the atmosphere on the yard, always so relaxed, I let you enjoy the pictures!

Once again we must thank all the little world that surrounds us and is essential for the progress of work, either, but mostly for morale ...
A great big thank you to Frances, mother, Christian, father, Lawrence, JB, Leo Nino Sboub, Guig, Jule, Anne-Laure and Dagmar.
Whether shots hands to keep us company, come and drink coffee, or just see what happens, it's always nice to have people on site! So

notice to all, we need the 10 next weekend, people to help us, support us morally, light the grill, prepare the coffee, or simply to discuss, reflect or enjoy the sun in our grass Cow!

A new job begins! A little overwhelmed

Hello everyone!

We are still overwhelmed, but the house still ahead. These past weeks have been devoted to electricity and this is it is finally finished. A scare in the first test because we blew the leads of the neighbors (Gary and Sonia, who are always our suppliers officials a big thank you again), some questions ... and a remote control switch was discovered improperly connected. Time for Joel to remake this connection and tighten a lug to the electrical panel and there was light!

You're not dreaming, there is good 4 fuses ON

The Fine Neon!

Even outside work!

Thanks Joel!

same time, we finished pass all the electricity of the ground floor and first floor with Christian (only ducts passing through the straw for now in order to attack the coatings). For those interested, we set the boxes in the straw by screwing a wooden block that we slipped under the ropes boots. It is nickel!

The string tension of the boot is enough to keep the box package ...

... until the 6 cm of earth plaster

The jacket goes under the strings of boots and is slightly down in the straw

Alex has made good progress on its clay-sand mixtures and we have been attacked yesterday to see how it looks on the wall of the cellar. First with a very thin base coat (pure clay + water) and directly after the base coat (clay, sand crumbled straw-water). Walk in the books and it's beautiful!

The base coat (or bonding layer) clay and water in a thin layer

The same thing up close and ...

... without further delay the body plaster cast in hand ...

... then smoothed with the same instruments (our hands to those who do not)

These are new and we are organizing the first weekend of June 21 earth, for the fans loved ones near and far unknown want to try or just watch!

soon!
